Welcome to the website of Isle of Wight photographer Jason Swain
I live & work on the Isle of Wight as a full-time, fully insured, professional photographer, and I'd love to talk to you about your Commercial, Event or Wedding photography requirements. You can contact me via email firstname.lastname@example.org and i'll call or email you right back.
If you have a few minutes, please browse my Portfolio gallery which contains a hand-picked set that best represents my diverse photographic inspirations. If you have a little more time, you can browse the gallery page and see everything I shoot, from Sports events to Commercial portraits, or you can use the search facility on my extensive photo archives and pinpoint exactly what you are looking for, be it candid wedding moments or black and white landscapes.
To hear what some of my photography clients say about me and my work, you can check out the reviews on my Google+ page and you can see regular updates on my latest projects and published work on my photography news page.
You might also like to read 'How I became a photographer' where I attempt to illustrate and document the journey from being a traditional artist working with paints and brushes to being a professional photographer today.
Visit my wedding page for all the information you need (including 2014 wedding package prices and contact info) on my wedding photography services. There's also a regularly updated gallery of Isle of Wight Wedding Photography and just a few examples of the things people have said about my work. I love capturing the fun and excitement of the big day, and telling the story of that day by catching those special intimate wedding moments with my informal candid style.
Isle of Wight Photography
The Isle of Wight is the inspiration for lots of my landscape and lifestyle photos, specifically the 'Wonderful West Wight' and the beautiful island landscape features prominently in my work. You'll find Isle of wight pictures from rural, countryside and coastal locations including Alum Bay, Bembridge, Blackgang, Brighstone, Brook, Compton Bay, Cowes, Freshwater Bay, The Needles lighthouse, Newport, Newtown Creek, Niton, Osborne house, Ryde, Sandown, Shanklin, Steephill Cove, Tennyson Down & The Tennyson Trail, Totland Bay, Ventnor and Yarmouth to name nearly all of them!
Isle of Wight Lifestyle Photographs
The Isle of Wight is also the setting for lots of outdoor fun and sports which i love taking part in and capturing on camera. Featured lifestyle activities include Banger Racing, Bodyboarding, Bowling, Coasteering, Cricket, Dog walking, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Horse-riding, Mountain-biking, Paragliding, Photography, Pop festivals, Sailing at Cowes Week, Scuba-diving, Stand-up Paddle Boarding, Surfing, Wind-surfing and Walking.
The Island was also home to the NatWest Island Games 2011, an international sporting event which involved thousands of talented athletes from 25 islands around the world, challenging themselves and each other in the quest for victory in 14 different sports. Click here to view galleries of photos from all 7 days of the event which i covered working as the official photographer.
Black and White Isle of Wight Photographs
On this website you can also find a photo gallery consisting of solely Black and White photography, where you can browse and buy 'black and wight pictures' or view a slideshow of black and wight landscapes.
Working predominatly with my lensbaby and more recently a 100mm f2.8 macro lens, i've also produced a gallery of Floral photography for you to browse and enjoy. You can also download and read a free pdf copy of the feature article from the February 2012 'Advanced Photographer Magazine which includes an interview where I talk about my techniques and inspirations.
And finally, I've also got a new page with information, links and photographs all about Hunting for Isle of Wight Dinosaurs and the best places to look for them on the Islands South West coastline.
